About the Center
How the Center came about, its purpose and partners.
Baku State University’s Scientific Council decided to establish the Center in July 2026. Its aim is to strengthen the university’s research infrastructure in biomedical science and technology.
The Center contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals:
- Good health and well-being (SDG 3)
- Quality education (SDG 4)
- Industry, innovation and infrastructure (SDG 9)

The Center continues more than 25 years of scientific and academic cooperation among:
- Heidelberg University Faculty of Medicine (Germany)
- Baku State University
- Azerbaijan Medical University
- National Oncology Center
